It will be a classical concert in the true sense of the word when the Norwegian Wind Ensemble finds some of the most beautiful sheet music for Haydn and two generations of Bach.
The program consists of Johan Sebastian Bach's beautiful «Orchestra suite no. 3 in D major», Joseph Haydn's legendary «Trumpet Concerto in E flat major» and father Bach's youngest son, Johan Christian Bachs, dramatic «Symphony in G minor, op. 6 No. 6 ».
The pieces are tailor-made for the Norwegian Wind Ensemble by their own trumpeter, Stian Aareskjold, who will also be a soloist in the Trumpet Concert on the specially made flap trumpet. The ensemble's combination of modern and historical instruments provides an authentic and extra exciting soundscape. The conductor is the talented Wolfram Christ.
