Fiorenza Cedolins, is one of the most celebrated opera singers in our day, known for the beauty, mellow, warm colour of her voice, volume, clear diction, and refined vocal technique. Her deep knowledge of all different opera repertoire gives her the opportunity to be comfortable in Italian, Russian, German and French and also in the part of the soprano vocal area called falcon that is in between soprano and mezzo. In fact, Fiorenza is preparing new roles such as Amneris, Elsa, Venus, Lisa from The Pique Dame, Isolde, Didone from Les Troyens, and others.
After winning the Luciano Pavarotti International Voice Competition in Philadelphia (1995), she has sung Tosca with Luciano Pavarotti, and has performed at many of the world's leading opera houses including: the Teatro alla Scala in Milan (Madama Butterfly, Don Carlo and Pagliacci); the Metropolitan Opera House in NY (Madama Butterfly and Aida); ROH Covent Garden in London (Il Trovatore); Opéra Bastille in Paris (Tosca); Wiener Staatsoper (Madama Butterfly and Simon Boccanegra); Liceu di Barcelona (Tosca, Norma, Il Trovatore, Madama Butterfly, La Bohème and Falstaff).

Fiorenza has performed Verdi’s Messa da Requiem several times: at the Verona Arena, at the Avery Fischer Hall in New York with Lorin Maazel, at the Royal Albert Hall in London, and at the Boston Symphony Hall, with the Boston Symphony Orchestra, both performances with Daniele Gatti, at the Auditorium Santa Cecilia in Rome under Zubin Mehta, at the Konzerthaus in Wien under Riccardo Chailly, as well as others.
Her discography includes: Il Trovatore in Parma; Tosca with the Maggio Musicale Fiorentino; Luisa Miller Krief's production in Parma; Tosca De Ana's production and Madama Butterfly Zeffirelli's production at the Verona Arena; Puccini’s La rondine Vick's production in Venice; Norma in Tokyo and Barcelona; and the DVD “Dedicate to Puccini” at the Teatro del Giglio in Lucca for Puccini’s Anniversary Celebrations.
Fiorenza has also recently established an organization of master classes called the Scuola dell’Opera Italiana Fiorenza Cedolins. She truly enjoys supporting the evolution of young talented singers both as a guest professor for other organizations or universities, and as a jury member in important vocal/opera competitions.
