Under the baton of Eckehard Stier, “Merregnon: Heart of Ice” returns to the stage in a concert that combines storytelling, orchestral colour and some of the most iconic music from the world of Japanese animation. Narrated by Heike Schuhmacher, the programme opens with four celebrated works by Joe Hisaishi, whose soundtracks for Studio Ghibli have shaped the imagination of generations of listeners.

Across the three performances, the audience is invited to experience a journey where fantasy, storytelling and symphonic writing come together in a compelling musical landscape.
