A new recording dedicated to the orchestral works of British composer Gerald Finzi has been released by Brilliant Classics, featuring the Clarinet Concerto, Dies Natalis, and Prelude. This refined and poetic album is conducted by Flavio Emilio Scogna and performed by the Benedetto Marcello Chamber Orchestra.

The solo part of the Clarinet Concerto is performed by Roberta Gottardi, clarinetist and artist of Only Stage, whose lyrical phrasing and nuanced expression make her an ideal interpreter of Finzi’s introspective and pastoral musical world.

The recording also includes Dies Natalis, interpreted by soprano Susanna Rigacci, and the Prelude for String Orchestra, offering a complete perspective on Finzi’s emotionally rich and deeply English sound palette.
