Lu Jia

Lü Jia featured in Gramophone Magazine’s Bruckner 6 recommended recordings

We are proud to share that our artist Lü Jia has been featured in Gramophone Magazine’s latest overview of the greatest recordings of Bruckner’s Symphony No. 6, written by critic Christian Hoskins. Among a wide-ranging and historically rich discography, Lü Jia’s recent interpretation of this lesser-known symphony is highlighted as a standout performance.

Described as a work that is rhythmically complex and emotionally rich, Bruckner’s Sixth Symphony has often been misunderstood. In this context, Lü Jia’s recording stands out for its clarity of structure and expressive balance, delivering both the contemplative and bold aspects that define the piece.

As noted in the article, the performance by the China NCPA Orchestra under Lü Jia’s baton, captured in 2024, is praised for combining “vigour and sensitivity,” particularly in the Scherzo and Trio. This acknowledgment places Lü Jia’s work alongside landmark interpretations by names such as Günter Wand and Wolfgang Sawallisch, affirming his place among today’s leading Bruckner interpreters.
