September 15th | Luca Franzetti in “Sotto l’ombra dell’ulivo” at Festival della Parola in Parma
Luca Franzetti will perform in “Sotto l’ombra dell’ulivo” at Casa della Musica in Parma, as part of Festival della Parola, Musica In-chiostro 2026.
The performance brings together narration, music and live visual art in a journey through Palestine, from Ramallah and Jerusalem to Gaza and its centuries-old olive trees.
Issa Freij will combine spoken narration with live painting on glass, while cellists Lucia D’Anna and Luca Franzetti will provide the musical dimension of the performance.
The words of Palestinian poet Rashid Hussein and Freij’s stories are interwoven with excerpts from Lucia D’Anna’s “Terra non Promessa”, a work centred on the symbolic and sacred significance of the olive tree.
