Marcus Bosch

July 17th – 19th | Marcus Bosch conducting G. Verdi “Attila” at Opernfestspiele Heidenheim

Giuseppe Verdi’s Attila, a powerful dramma lirico in a prologue and three acts, returns to the stage at Opernfestspiele Heidenheim, under the musical direction of Marcus Bosch and the Cappella Aquileia.

Based on the tragedy by Zacharias Werner, Attila follows the dramatic arc of the Hun king’s invasion of Aquileia and his fateful encounter with Odabella, a woman driven by vengeance. Despite sparing her life and offering his trust, Odabella conceals her quest for retribution. As political plots unfold and passions collide, Verdi’s score intensifies the moral tension and grandeur of the narrative.
