Marcus Bosch

May 16th | Marcus Bosch – Symphonic concert at Heidenheim Opernfestspiele

Our Marcus Bosch will conduct Cappella Aquileia in the symphonic concert “Schubert zum Zweiten” at Heidenheim Opernfestspiele.

The programme continues the season’s focus on Schubert, presenting two overtures in D major together with the Piano Sonata in A minor, D 845, orchestrated for Cappella Aquileia by Eduardo Browne Salinas.

At the centre of the concert is Edvard Grieg’s Piano Concerto in A minor, Op. 16, one of the most celebrated works of the piano repertoire. Inspired by Schumann’s concerto in the same key, the work combines Romantic lyricism with unmistakably Norwegian elements, including echoes of the Halling dance.

The soloist will be Joseph Moog, praised by Gramophone as one of the most brilliant pianists of his generation.

Program:
- F. Schubert, Overture in D major, D 12
- E. Grieg, Piano Concerto in A minor, Op. 16
- F. Schubert, Overture in D major, D 556
- F. Schubert, Piano Sonata in A minor, D 845 (Orchestration: E. Browne Salinas)
