The Phion Orchestra presents the Dutch premiere of Gabriel Prokofiev’s Viola Concerto, a groundbreaking work composed specifically for Maxim Rysanov. In this innovative performance, Rysanov appears in his dual role as soloist and conductor.

Our Gabriel Prokofiev, grandson of legendary composer Sergei Prokofiev, has built a career crossing genres, from dance and hip-hop to contemporary classical music. His collaboration with Maxim Rysanov, whose artistry and boldness inspired the concerto, results in a work where classical structures and electronic textures meet, challenging conventions and expanding sonic horizons.
