May 29th – 30th | Oleg Caetani – “The Blue Danube” in Poznań, Poland
Oleg Caetani will conduct the Poznań Philharmonic Orchestra in “The Blue Danube” at the Adam Mickiewicz University Auditorium.
The programme will feature Tibor Serly’s Concerto for Viola and Orchestra, with Karolina Lewińska-Bąk as soloist. A composer and violist closely connected to the Hungarian musical tradition, Serly is known for a language that combines twentieth-century energy with a strong sense of instrumental colour.
The concert will continue with Franz Schubert’s Symphony No. 9 in C major “The Great”, one of the composer’s most expansive symphonic works, marked by broad melodic writing, rhythmic vitality and a large-scale architectural vision.
