The Dom Umenia in Košice will host an evening of powerful Romantic repertoire with the Slovak State Philharmonic Košice, under the baton of conductor Olivier Ochanine. At the piano, internationally acclaimed soloist Alexei Volodin will interpret Brahms' compelling Piano Concerto No. 1 in D minor, Op. 15, a work of intense drama and lyricism.

The programme opens with Hector Berlioz’s vibrant Le Corsaire, a spirited overture full of adventure and orchestral brilliance. The concert will conclude with Symphony No. 1 in D minor, Op. 13 by Sergei Rachmaninoff, a rich and emotionally charged work showcasing the young composer’s unique voice and dramatic flair.
