Spanish conductor Martínez Alpuente joins Only Stage roster!
Vicente Martínez Alpuente is the Artistic Director of the Orchestra of the Universidad Autónoma del Estado de Hidalgo (Mexico) and a leading expert in Latin American symphonic repertoire. Renowned for his commitment to reviving Hispanic music from the 19th and 20th centuries, he spearheads the Chavarri Project, dedicated to restoring the orchestral legacy of Spanish composer Eduardo López-Chavarri.
He has conducted major orchestras across Europe and the Americas, including the Spanish National Youth Orchestra, St. Petersburg State Symphony, National Symphony Orchestra of Mexico, and Bucharest Symphony Orchestra. In opera and zarzuela, he has led over 180 performances and served as assistant conductor at the Teatro de la Zarzuela in Madrid and the Spanish National Youth Orchestra.
Martínez Alpuente is the creator of the Zarzuela and Spanish Opera Festival of the Valencian Community, the chamber orchestra La Hispánica, and Onlyconductors, the world's leading digital platform for conductors.
