French pianist Vincent Larderet continues to receive critical acclaim for his outstanding interpretation of Maurice Ravel’s music. His album “Complete Works for Solo Piano Vol. 1”, released by AVIE Records, has been included in AllMusic’s “Favorite Classical Instrumental Albums of 2024”, confirming Larderet’s place among today’s most respected interpreters of French repertoire.

The review praises the authenticity and clarity of his style, which stems from a direct pedagogical lineage back to Ravel through Vlado Perlemuter. Remarkably, Larderet used Perlemuter’s personal copies of Ravel’s manuscripts, complete with the composer’s own interpretive annotations. This gives the recording a rare depth of insight and historical value.
