The Philharmonisches Orchester Hagen welcomes the year 2026 with three festive Viennese New Year’s Concerts, featuring a programme steeped in the tradition of the Strauss dynasty and enriched by a distinctive 20th-century highlight.

At the heart of the evenings stands our Yibai Chen, performing Friedrich Gulda’s Concerto for Cello, Wind Orchestra and Band, a work that blends classical idiom, jazz influences and rhythmic vitality, offering a striking contrast to the elegance of Viennese waltzes and polkas.
