Yibai Chen will perform at Con Spirito Leipzig’s Chamber Music Festival, joining an international group of chamber musicians for the festival’s sixth edition.

The 2026 edition, titled “Jewish tunes of Leipzig’s Romantics”, is part of the theme year Tacheles - Jewish Culture in Saxony and explores Jewish influences and connections within Leipzig’s musical history.

Yibai Chen will appear in six concerts across the festival, performing at venues including the Gewandhaus zu Leipzig, Alte Nikolaischule, Bach Museum, Mendelssohn Haus, Grieg-Begegnungsstätte and the Hochschule für Musik und Theater Felix Mendelssohn Bartholdy.

His appearances include repertoire by Mendelssohn, Schulhoff, Zemlinsky, Schönberg, Prokofiev, Weinberg and Shostakovich, alongside musicians including Antje Weithaas, Sergey Ostrovsky, Angela Chan, Pauline Sachse, Peter Bruns and Oliver Triendl.
