July 6th | Carlos Natale in “La Traviata” at Festival de Carcassonne
The stunning open-air Théâtre Jean-Deschamps, nestled in the heart of the medieval city of Carcassonne, will be the stage for one of opera’s most beloved masterpieces: Giuseppe Verdi’s La Traviata.
Inspired by Alexandre Dumas fils’ La Dame aux camélias, this production features a cast of distinguished soloists, an orchestra of 35 musicians, and a choir of 80 voices, in a grand-scale performance that promises to captivate the audience with its emotional intensity and dramatic beauty. In the role of Gastone, we are proud to highlight our tenor Carlos Natale.
Under the musical direction of Claude Cuguillere (Capitole de Toulouse) and stage direction by Henry-Jean Servat, the performance brings to life the poignant story of Violetta, a courtesan who sacrifices everything for love and honour.
