Dmitry Sitkovetsky

August 9th | Dmitry Sitkovetsky – Professors’ Concert at the Nelli Shkolnikova Academy, France

The prestigious Nelli Shkolnikova Academy presents a Professors' Concert at the historic Château de la Flocellière in Sèvremont, France.

This chamber music evening will feature a distinguished faculty of international artists in a programme that commemorates the 50th anniversary of the death of Dmitri Shostakovich. The concert opens with Gustav Mahler’s Piano Quartet in A minor, a rare gem from the composer’s early years, followed by a performance of Shostakovich’s Piano Quintet in G minor, Op. 57, one of the most profound and intimate works in the 20th-century chamber repertoire.

Performers include celebrated violinist and conductor Dmitry Sitkovetsky, along with Gulia Gurevich, Yuriy Bekker, Federico Hood, Sasha Gurevich, Israel Fausto, Sébastien Hurtaud, Pamela Hurtado, and Jessica Osborne—all faculty members of the Shkolnikova Academy.
