April 9th | Dmitry Sitkovetsky – Shostakovich Sonatas at Malta Spring Festival
As part of the 20th Malta Spring Festival, our violinist Dmitry Sitkovetsky performs Shostakovich’s Violin Sonata in G minor, Op. 134, alongside a distinguished group of musicians.
The programme brings together three chamber works spanning different periods of Shostakovich’s life, offering a broad perspective on his musical language. From the early Cello Sonata, to the introspective late Violin Sonata, and the final Viola Sonata, the concert explores a deeply expressive and evolving sound world.
Sitkovetsky is joined by Adam Klocek (cello), Alexandre Razera (viola) and Debbie Shah (piano).
