Sarah Traubel

German soprano Sarah Traubel joins Only Stage roster!

Sarah Traubel is a German soprano acclaimed for her bright, projecting voice and was nominated as Opus Klassik’s 2022 “Singer of the Year”. She performs a wide repertoire from Mozart to Wagner and Shostakovich, collaborating with conductors such as Daniele Gatti, Ingo Metzmacher and Adam Fischer.

Highlights of the 2025–26 season include appearances at the Leipzig Gewandhaus, Berlin Philharmonie, Singapore’s Esplanade and the Enescu Festival, following notable recent performances of Strauss, Mahler and Wagner.

She has sung major roles at Oper Leipzig, Zurich Opera and Freiburg Opera, including Freia, Helmwige, Agathe, Donna Anna, Violetta and the title role in Undine, earning outstanding reviews for Widmann’s Babylon.

Her discography includes releases on Aparté and SONY Classical, with acclaimed albums such as In meinem Lied, De Profundis and Arias for Josepha. A grandniece of Helen Traubel and Günter Wand, she studied in Berlin, Salzburg and New York, graduating with distinction.
