Lü Jia will conduct the Ticino Musica Festival Orchestra as part of the 30th anniversary edition of Ticino Musica.
The Festival Orchestra brings together young musicians selected from around the world for two weeks of training, rehearsals and concerts in Ticino.
The programme opens with Mozart’s Overture from The Magic Flute, followed by Joaquín Rodrigo’s Concierto de Aranjuez with guitarist Pablo Márquez. The evening continues with Mozart’s Sinfonia concertante for winds and orchestra, featuring Ivan Podyomov oboe, Romain Guyot clarinet, Gabor Meszaros bassoon and Christian Lampert horn.
Beethoven’s Symphony No. 5 will close the concert, leading the programme from dramatic intensity to a final affirmative and luminous conclusion.
