Lü Jia will conduct the Ticino Musica Festival Orchestra at Palazzo dei Congressi in Lugano.

The concert will feature violist Diyang Mei as soloist in Dieter Ammann’s No templates, a concerto for viola and orchestra.

The programme opens with Rossini’s Overture from Il turco in Italia, a work full of theatrical brilliance and rhythmic vitality. After Ammann’s contemporary concerto, the evening will conclude with Brahms’ Symphony No. 2 in D major, Op. 73, one of the composer’s most lyrical and expansive symphonic works.
