Luca Franzetti

May 07th | Luca Franzetti performing at Auditorium di Milano Largo Mahler in occasion of Ezio Bosso prize 2026

Luca Franzetti will be among the guests of the presentation of the second edition of the Ezio Bosso Prize for Musical Outreach, taking place at the home of the Orchestra Sinfonica di Milano in Largo Mahler.

A long-time friend and collaborator of Ezio Bosso, Franzetti has developed an ongoing commitment to music education in difficult contexts, from Venezuela to Palestine, where he recently founded an Academy of Early Music in Bethlehem as part of a three-year project.

At the centre of his work is the idea of musical instruments as “weapons of mass construction”: a way of using music as a tool for education, listening, discipline, and peaceful coexistence.

The presentation will open the 2026 edition of the Prize, created to support and give visibility to projects dedicated to the dissemination of classical music. The event will also feature Tommaso Bosso, President of the Ezio Bosso Association, Ambra Redaelli, President of the Orchestra Sinfonica di Milano, Paolo Petrocelli, Superintendent of Dubai Opera and member of the Prize’s Scientific Committee, Gian Luca Bauzano, journalist from Corriere della Sera/7 and Filippo Michelangeli, director of Amadeus.

During the event, Luca Franzetti will also offer a musical contribution, performing the first two movements of Giovanni Sollima’s Concerto Rotondo.

Program:
- G. Sollima, Concerto rotondo (Mov I & II)
