July 15th | Marcus Bosch – gala concert “Naturläute” with Cappella Aquileia and Alexej Gerassimez at Opernfestspiele Heidenheim
Marcus Bosch will conduct the gala concert Naturläute with Cappella Aquileia.
The programme opens with Carl Maria von Weber’s overture to Der Freischütz, one of the central works of German Romantic opera and a landmark of its darker, supernatural atmosphere.
The evening continues with Péter Eötvös’ Speaking Drums, performed by percussionist Alexej Gerassimez. The work combines African and Indian sound worlds and requires the soloist to move between a wide range of percussion instruments and vocal elements.
The concert concludes with Beethoven’s Symphony No. 6 in F major, Pastorale, a programmatic journey through nature, from the peaceful arrival in the countryside to the storm and the final feeling of gratitude.
