Maria Badstue and the new opera “Erna og kroen” have received a four-star review from Danish theatre magazine ISCENE.
The chamber opera, with music by Peter Bruun and a libretto written in collaboration with Erling Jepsen, is praised for the way music and theatre interact throughout the production. The review highlights the role of Ensemble Storstrøm, conducted by Maria Badstue, in shaping the work’s humour and commenting directly on the dramatic action.
