"Death and Resurrection of a Love" is a recital played and told by the cellist Luca Franzetti to music by Johann Sebastian Bach.

After the death in 1720 of his first wife Maria Barbara, mother of 7 of his children, Bach had to endure a particularly difficult situation, both humanly and economically. This has repercussions on the particularly sad character of some of his works of the period, such as the Suite for solo cello n.2.

The following year he meets Anna Magdalena, 16 years younger than her, and he falls madly in love with her. In this period Suite 3 is composed, which has a completely different tone than the second.

"Death and Resurrection of a Love" by cellist Luca Franzetti is a story about the human figure of a great musician who loved his two wives, and winds through two fundamental works in the cell repertoire: the Suite n. 2 in D minor BWV 1008, written after the death of his first wife and Suite no. 3 in C Major BWV 1009, written after having known the second.
