We are pleased to announce that our conductor Stepan Armasar has been named Bernard Haitink Associate Conductor of the Royal Concertgebouw Orchestra in Amsterdam.

The appointment will span the 2026–27 and 2027–28 seasons. In this role, Stepan Armasar will collaborate on around half of the orchestra’s concert programmes, assisting Klaus Mäkelä and other leading conductors in Amsterdam and on tour. He will also work with orchestra members in ensemble formation and contribute to the orchestra’s talent development activities. In the second half of the 2027–28 season, he will conduct a week of work with the orchestra including several subscription concerts.
