Pianist and composer Inna Faliks released her new album “Stranger Things" on July 24, 2026.

The recording traces some of the musical influences that have shaped Faliks’ artistic identity, bringing together two of her own childhood compositions with works by Richard Wagner, Arnold Schoenberg and Johannes Brahms.

The album opens with Wandering Stranger and Old Belltower, two pieces Faliks composed at the age of ten, shortly before leaving Odesa with her family. Preserved as handwritten manuscripts during the journey from Ukraine through Europe to the United States, the works offer a personal starting point for a programme centred on memory, displacement and artistic discovery.

From Wagner’s brief Elegy in A-flat major, the programme moves to Schoenberg’s Drei Klavierstücke, Op. 11, a work that played an important role in Faliks’ musical development, before concluding with Brahms’ monumental Piano Sonata No. 3 in F minor, Op. 5.

Through this sequence, “Stranger Things” connects Romantic tradition, early modernism and Faliks’ own creative beginnings, reflecting on the unexpected encounters that can shape an artist’s musical path.
