May 22nd | Vincent Larderet performing Ravel Piano Concerto in Sant Cugat del Vallès
Vincent Larderet will perform Maurice Ravel’s Piano Concerto with the Orquestra Simfònica Sant Cugat, conducted by Salvador Brotons, in Sant Cugat del Vallès.
The concert, titled “El piano de Ravel”, brings together French refinement and German symphonic writing. The programme will open with Ravel’s Pavane pour une infante défunte, a work of delicate colours and restrained lyricism, followed by the Piano Concerto, where brilliance, virtuosity and rhythmic energy meet the composer’s unmistakable clarity of sound.
After the intermission, the evening will continue with Johannes Brahms’ Symphony No. 1 in C minor, Op. 68, a major symphonic work shaped by long dramatic development and a final movement often associated with the legacy of Beethoven.
