As part of the Chigiana OperaLab, the Chigiana Festival presents “La voix humaine”, Francis Poulenc’s intimate one-act tragédie lyrique based on the libretto by Jean Cocteau. The production will take place at Teatro dei Rozzi in Siena on July 24 and 25, 2025, featuring our mezzo-soprano Zuzanna Klemańska.

The performance is part of a double bill, also featuring the world premiere of the two-piano version of Luigi Dallapiccola’s Il Prigioniero. Both operas will be performed by students from the advanced singing course led by William Matteuzzi, in collaboration with the Chigiana Keyboard Ensemble and the Siena Cathedral Choir “Guido Chigi Saracini”.
